Paragliding Tandem Flight Ohrid is operated by Paragliding Club Vertigo from Skopje – Macedonia. Paragliding club Vertigo is first and only certified paragliding center that complies with the requirements prescribed in the Regulation on qualification, training, examinations, licensing and ratings of the free-flying wings pilots (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No93/2017)  with approval certificate number: TC/PG-01.

1. Formation of Contract

The customer’s verbal or written registration or booking with Paragliding Tandem Flight Ohrid or one of its points of sale shall constitute the formation of a binding contract between the customer and Paragliding Club Vertigo. By making the booking, the customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions as an integral part of the contract between himself/herself and Paragliding Club Vertigo.

2. Subject Matter of the Contract

The organizer undertakes to provide the service required by the customer within the scope of the offers and/or the order confirmation. Extended services may be considered upon consultation with the organizer. Any additional costs shall be borne by the customer.

3. Cancelation

Each party may cancel the Agreement in writing.

3.1.Cancellation by the customer

If the Customer cancels the contract, due to any cause or reason, the Customer is obliged to pay annulment costs to the Service Provider depending on the arrival date of the cancelation notice as follows:

  • 14 days before the start of the activity, no costs will be charged
  • 13 – 2 days prior to the activity: 30%
  • 1 day prior to the activity or non-appearance, 100% of the compensation will be charged

3.2 Cancellation and modification by the Service Provider

The Service Provider reserves the right to cancel the execution of the activity with respect of any of the participants who causes the fulfilment of the contract to be endangered or made impossible by his/her behaviour, omissions or other actions. The participant concerned is obliged to pay annulment costs as per Section 3.1.

If the activity cannot be carried out due to vis major, safety concerns by the Service Provider, strikes or uncertain weather and nature conditions, the Service Provider reserves the right to cancel or cut short the activity on a short notice.

In such case, the Service Provider will return the compensation paid to the Costumer minus charges for services already rendered, any expenditures and the handling fee.

Guided by the principle of danger-free completion of the services, the Service Provider reserves exclusively the right to reschedule the activity for next available day or modify for an equivalent service replacement.

4. Conditions and requirements for participation

The participants need to have good health in order to take part in the activity and they are obligated to inform the Service Provider of any possible health problems.

Under no circumstances may participants take part in the activity while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, psychiatric drugs or any similar substances.

The participants are required to fulfil these conditions of participation and agree to strictly follow the instructions of the Service Provider, the guides, activity leader and assistants.

If the conditions of participation are not fulfilled or if instructions are disregarded, the Service Provider reserves the right to prohibit participation.

5. Insurance

The Costumer or the participants themselves are required to provide sufficient health and accident insurance coverage, including sport coverage.

6. Assumption of risk

By accepting these terms, the participant is aware that paragliding and all associated activities is a calculated risk sport and contains inherent risks and dangers, including serious injury and that he/she knows and understands the scope, nature, and extent of the risks involved in the activity contemplated by this contract.

The statement will testify that each participant individually and voluntarily chooses to incur any and all such risks and dangers.

7. Release of liability

Each participant will simultaneously sign a liability disclaimer statement that he/she fully and forever discharges and releases the Service Provider, it’s owners and directors, employees, instructors, equipment manufacturers, and owners of land used for paragliding activities from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of any damages, both in law and equity, in any way resulting from personal injuries, conscious suffering, death, or property damages sustained by the participant and arising out of paraglide flights, or any other vehicle operation, parachute or otherwise, or any other device of the Service Provider while on the ground or in flight, or while participating in any of the activities contemplated by this release.
