What to expect

The Paragliding Ohrid adventure starts with our team picking you up from your hotel or apartment in Ohrid, or we can meet at Cuba Libre beach-bar, Afterward, we will transport you to the take-off place using a jeep. The transportation is adventure by itself, very similar to off-road experience to the mountains.

At the take-off, after a ten-minute briefing our professional tandem pilot will take you into the air for a flight that lasts from 10 – 15 minutes depending on flying conditions.

The passenger (you) and the flight instructor each have their own comfortable harness. We then connect you together and finally connect you to the glider. Once in the air your flight instructor will explain to you what he is doing and how paragliders fly. If conditions permit, you may be offered hands on control of the glider.

You will land at Cuba Libre Beach bar, where you can relax with a coffee or a beer, see the photos or video from the flight and share your impressions.

What do I need to bring?

Bring some good footwear (sneakers, running shoes), something that can give you good ankle support, as you are required to do a short run on take off.

How long am I in the air for?

Average flight time on the paraglider is about 15 mins. We rely on mother nature, so it can vary quite a bit, sometimes the flights are longer than the average, sometimes a bit shorter

Are there any restrictions?

Yes. The minimum weight for a passenger on a paraglider is 20 kg, the maximum is 100 kg.

How do I get to the take off?

We provide transport from meeting place to take off and back

How do I know if the trip goes ahead?

You will need to weather check with us before departure time. If we can’t fly due to the weather conditions we will try and accommodate you at another time/day.
As our activities are weather dependent, we would recommend to book your paragliding experience earlier during your stay in Ohrid rather than later. That way you have got a greater chance of flying.

Can I bring a friend to watch?

We’d love you to bring a friend along to watch as long as we have got room in the jeep. We do not charge for spectators, so it is on a space available basis.

We really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful fly above lake ohrid. The pilots you fly with are very experienced and can fly very well. We felt very trusted. Very nice experience that we would do again. The pilot did some tricks above the lake, I was very surprised about that. We would definitely recommend this glide to anyone. It’s magical.
